Newly Upgraded Islamic Graveyard in Kuala Lumpur

My mom showed me this article yesterday in Utusan, but the article dated 30/11. They've upgraded the graveyard! They look really neat, clean and tidy. No more scary graveyards! No more bumping or sitting on other people's graves!

I hope graves in other states will also have an upgrade on the graveyards. It'll be such a convenience for visitors.

HAHA. I know this video has been out for quite some time now, but I just realized they shot it at CROCODILE ROCK! ok. If you're a Kuantanese, you'd know where Croc Rock is. It's situated right at the entrance of my housing area!! OMG OMG!

lol. ok. ter-over-excited plak. I don't know why I didn't realized it when I saw the video the first time. Maybe I wasn't paying attention. huhu.. Anyway, you can see at 0:34 the pizza box says 'crocodile rock', then again at 1:14 on the walls. teehee..

I was browsing through Yuna's fb fanpage when I decided to play "gadis semasa" song on youtube. When suddenly I realized, "eh, how come this place looks familiar?". Then suddenly saw the paper on the wall wrote "crocodile rock". HAHA! EXCITED GILER! >.<

Croc Rock punye pizza sedap giler! burger dia pon sedap k!

ARGHHH! RINDUNYE KUANTAN!

Forensics

I'm in my forensics cycle now. Just came back from a postmortem procedure.

FRESH CORPSE! YEAY!

Ok. I felt a little woozy just thinking about it. Gosh! The smell of fresh corpse. I can't handle them. I can still remember how it smells. Although, I smelled padlepop when the abdomen was opened, and Teena said it smells like durian. Sweet smell of blood I guess. Still, after a while, it gets into your head. I kept squinting whenever I get to close too the body and the smell went through my mask. Ilamathi siap pakai dua mask! Thank God no one fainted.

There were 8 beds in the morgue, with opened & stitched bodies. The room was kinda cool, with the saw & knifes all around. Winda said it looks like a scene in the SAW movie. LOL! but gosh! the smell. And the pathologists didn't even wore masks! They work like butchers! seriously! They used the saw to open up the head. Buka skull macam nak parut kelapa. No kidding!

You wouldn't have guess they dissect dead people for a living.

Anyway, the body we got was a 38 year old female found dead at her apartment. Our teacher checked everything, but the cause of death is still unknown until they receive the lab results. Probably died due to intoxication or overdose in my opinion. There were scars "suicide-attempt-like" on her left wrist and another scar also on the left arm which look like she put out her cigarette with her skin. Maybe she was depressed.

Other findings; she has no uterus & vagina. Maybe she had histerectomy before but there were no operation marking on her abdomen except for appendectomy. She also had some kind of growth in the right lobe of her liver, probably due to metastasis of cancer. Maybe she had Uterine Cancer before, that's why her uterus was missing, which explains the metastasis of the liver.

I love the brain part, where our teacher cut it into slices, showed the brain part by part. Its like flipping through anatomy atlas. He even sliced it to show us the internal capsule, claustrum, etc. Beautiful. Anyone working as pathologist could make an Anatomy Atlas. Definitely NOT in my list. I hate working with corpse. I can't stand their smell. Fresh or the ones kept in formalin solutions.

I'm going to post a picture of the dissected brain. Anyone with weak heart, please don't scroll down.

Its not mine though. I got it from a friend who had Forensics cycle previously. I didn't brought my camera down to the morgue. Sigh. I should have though, I think. :p

Tun Mahathir visits Moscow

Tun Mahathir was actually in Moscow for some work, but Kelab Umno Moscow sent in a request for him to meet with Malaysian students who are pursuing their studies here and they got lucky when Tun said YES! ;)

Unfortunately, the embassy gave limited seats to those who want to meet the legendary Tun Mahathir. Only 300 seats from 2000 of malaysian students all over moscow. So, everyone gave in their names as quick as possible to the student bodies hoping to get seats. Alhamdulillah, I was one of the lucky ones whose name got picked to experience this once in a lifetime event. ;)

Tun gave us an inspiring speech. How we should repay the community once we become successful because it is from the community that we become who we are. There are a lot of us who went overseas and decided not to come back and work, but the way he put it, I don't remember the exact words, it just went straight to my heart why should contribute to our country, why we should work in our own country. It's all because we should contribute to our own community, the people who are the reason why we are here in the first place.

Well, enough of me blabbering. Here's some pics! enjoy! ;))

I was so starstruck at this time until one of the embassy staff had to tap me to move. lol!

Shaking hands with Tun Hasmah. ^.^

Tun Mahathir giving his speech. Photo from where I sat. Don't mind my 3.2 megapix camera.

Picture from the tv in front of me.

bB having his moment.

my moment.

another moment. even when everyone was already going off the stage. The person in the middle is the Ambassador - Dato Zainol Abidin.

Me and bB in the bus heading back to the hostel.

Some pics are from my friends in facebook. I didn't wait until Tun left though because bb suddenly had a stomach ache. >.<" oh well, seeing him is already a rare opportunity so I'm still grateful. ;)

Turun Padang

"Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is personally checking Moscow's transport security following the recent terror attack on Domodedovo airport which killed 36 people. On Friday he made an unplanned inspection of one of the city's transport hubs, saying he was satisfied with what he saw. But that wasn't the case a day ago when he arrived at one of the capital's train stations unannounced. The Russian leader managed to find only one policeman at the site and saw no metal detectors at the building's entrance. He promised a tough response to the security measures witnessed." - RussiaToday

1:21 - 1:58 The head of Vnukovo airport offers Medvedev to check International terminal, as he wants to show the best part of the airport. Medvedev says - 'No, better show the ordinary'. Aww.. and he's humble too! ;)

Seems like Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev been doing a lot of spot check lately. I like the fact that he always seem to take matter of his country's interest in his own hands. Doing things by himself. He even drove Arnold Schwarzenegger around during his visits in Russia. I mean, he actually became Arnold's driver. ;p

This is Medvedev giving a memorial service at the Lubyanka metro station last year after the bombing attacks at 2 of Moscow's metro stations.

Although, I don't think Russians are afraid of death. They seem to move on with their lives easily even after numerous bombing attacks.

I wonder if our PM would do the same thing? I'd doubt it, but it would nice to have a surprise once in a while. Ignoring protocols and be the people. Ok. I've been watching too many news lately! hehe..

On the other hand, President Mubarak or should I say ex-president of Egypt resigned yesterday. Hopefully Egypt will be a better country, and our friends studying in Egypt can return and continue their studies there, safely. ;))

It's overwhelming isn't it seeing the whole country unite. Malaysia still has some growing up to do. We're still divided between races and religion. I hope someday we can put aside our differences. I don't mean everyone in Malaysia has some racism issues, but I still see them every now and then. In the news and even on Facebook!

Boards and Boots

Yesterday, me, bB, ab, seth, mizi, rafiq and some M1 students went to Nagornaya to play snowboarding! Yes, sadly to say, after 6 years being in Moscow, this is my first time playing. I know. very sad. ;P

So. We left the hostel at 9:15am (janji pukul 8:30am, tp biasalah "janji melayu" ;P), had our breakfast at Kroshka Kartoshka, Konkovo and head off to Nagornaya metro station. Before arriving we boost our energy with GORILLA energy drink! Red Bull pon boleh because seriously, YOU NEED TONS OF ENERGY TO PLAY THIS SPORT!

Gorilla Energy Drink. Siap dengan Parental Advisory. I guess kids would go really hyper drinking this.

Arrived at Nagornaya around 11 a.m. Rent out the boards and boots. Hike the steep stairs. I'm not afraid of heights so I wasn't feeling anything. The stairs was made of steel and you can see down below, so it was kinda "menggayatkan". So I guess, if you're afraid of heights, you really shouldn't look down but it was sure damn tiring walking up the stairs and we haven't even started playing.

Queuing to rent the boards and boots.

Once arrive at the top, Ab gave us lesson on Snowboarding 101. Basic stuffs: wearing and taking off the board, standing, stopping, even on how to fall.

Top of the hill. Posing dulu. ;))

HOMAIGOD. The first stand was freaking scary! Like, how the hell do you control your board?! The thing kept going down (even though, that was the purpose). I kept falling on my butt because I was afraid of going down, and getting back up was a torture! And to make matter worst, the Russians was sliding freaking fast right pass me. (T.T) Tau lah terer, but can you see there's a noob here?! ;S

At first, I need one of the guys to help me get up and hold the board but after a while I mastered the way of standing [ececeehh]. The problem with me at the beginning is, I was afraid of going down, therefore I was afraid of standing up. You have to stand up and go down immediately. So when I get the hang of sliding, I could stand up. ;))

me and bB already at the bottom of the hill.

Recharging our energy with GORILLA. lolz.

Then trying to get back up the hill was another serious torture. We tried taking the "lift", where you wear your board and hold on to the rope which pulls you up the hill. OMG! you'd thought it'd be easy looking at everyone hanging on to it but it was F*CKING HARD!!! I fell like 5 times trying to hold on to the rope, I fell every at every single try! At the end I decided to just hike the hill! I was so out of breath! I think bB and Mizi was the only ones among us that made it and of course "the pro" - Ab made it till the top with the lift thingy.

The hill don't look that high isn't it? but trust me, it's still scary. There's a few hills you can slide down to. This is is like the 2nd level. Baby's hill is on the other side and pro's hills are right next to this one.

By 5 p.m, everyone had already get the idea of snowboarding. Everyone was having fun. Still not pros though. I still fall numerous times and I still don't know how to steer the board. My knees hurts from tumbling to the front. I'd rather fall on my butt, but sometimes the snow gets on the board and you'll tumble down the hill (jatuh tersungkur). My arms hurts too from trying to get up when I fell. ;(

But I had so much fun! I wanna go again! but not today of course. My body freaking aches! I want to buy the snowboard pants which doesn't absorb water! My jeans were so wet yesterday, it almost looked like I peed on my pants! ;P but it costs like rm200-rm300 just for that pair of pants and next year is my final winter. ;(

me being 'poyo' after achiving to stand on the board. ;P

Wished someone had introduced snowboarding to me earlier.. ;P

a couple of stuff

I'm just gonna write a couple of stuff in one post today.

With all the buzz that Prince William is getting married next year, tenders for Kate Middleton wedding dress has been opened! Click here to view slideshow of the dress sketches. The designers are from Gucci to Nina Ricci and of course Vera Wang. I love wedding dress!

Although I have to say, my most favourite is the design by Valentino.

It looks like a blossoming flower, so elegant yet so soft almost like a ballerina. ;D

Is there any way I could duplicate this design for my wedding? heee.. but even if I duplicate this design it would still be costly. ;(

I watched this a week ago. Katy Perry's interview on E! news during VH1 DIVAS SALUTE THE TROOPS.

and how adorable is Katy Perry during the interview with Ellen Degeneres!

awwww.. she's adorable & funny too! ;D
p/s: I wanna buy the perfume!! When is it coming to europe?

oh katy.. when will I be able to meet you.. hrmmm...

What Would You Do?

So, I was browsing through Yahoo! Movies and watching some new trailers. 1 of the trailers caught my attention. Watch this.

The ending is kinda f**cked up right? I mean, damn. Got you thinking, this dude is going to die definitely. I didn't know who Aron Ralston was. So I decided to Google him and I got this information from Wikipedia - Aron Lee Ralston (born October 27, 1975) is an American mountain climber who became famous in May 2003 when he was forced to amputate his lower right arm with a dull knife in order to free himself after his arm became trapped by a boulder when he was mountaineering in Utah.

WHAAAAA-?? You must be wondering just as me if you had read that right! "he was forced to amputate his lower right arm with a dull knife in order to free himself". You definitely had read that right. I mean. I couldn't imagine being in that situation! I would probably just wait for my death! Dah la amputating his own hands with a DULL KNIFE! Sh*t gile!

This is the video of Aron himself describing how he cut and break his arm off.

Gile lah! I don't know how he could relive the situation to tell the story. Gile respect! Such a strong and inspiring person! Makes us more thankful to God for the things we still have and to be alive. Subhanallah.

Makeup Magic!!!

Watch this! I'm sure you'll be as shock as I am!

This is insane!!! These girls looked like they had plastic surgery done to their face! but all they needed was make up, fake eyelashes and contact lenses!!!

This is an even drastic transformation!

This one has english subs. You should hear what they say! Seriously, men would do anything for girls with looks. Imagine! The guy actually bought a car for her and couldn't even recognize her when she went out without her makeup! [actually, I wouldn't recognize her either! my God..]
Make up would do wonders for girls.. Even increase self-confidence and business! XD

Business Class

I suddenly feel like writing a post. ;)

Did I tell you that I flew business class on the way to Moscow? teehee.. ;D yup! I flew business class. not that I never been on business class before, it just been quite sometime that I flew business class and I never flew international flights in business class before..

my flight ticket ^.^

The last time I flew business class was during my 1st year summer break from KLIA to Kuantan because the flight was full, so my mom had no choice but to buy me business class ticket.

Me and Karthina got upgraded because we checked in quite late and our seats from Hong Kong to Moscow was already taken. So we got upgraded!! ;D They change our tickets right before we went into boarding in HKIA. We were so shock! We actually got culture shock! ;DD

Before taking off. My face shows how sleepy I was. [The chair can be turn into a bed :p]

our flight took off at 12:40 a.m. I was already feeling very sleepy. The moment the seatbelt signs went off. I open the chair-turn-bed with my comfoter blanket and big pillow and fell asleep immediately.. It was a 10 hour flight. I woke up when with my watch saying 8 a.m. hehehee.. I didn't even ate dinner. I woke up with fruit appetizers. Karthina woke up when they were serving breakfast. She missed the appetizers. huhuhu..

My appetizers before breakfast came. You can see Karthina still sleeping in the comfoter in front ;p

First time getting off a plane without feeling sleepy and tired! ;DDD

Endless view of the sky. I'll never get bored of this. MashaAllah.

Summer Weekend Getaway

Last Sunday, me, Eugene, Juan, Wei Soon and Sookyee went on a hiking adventure. It was my first time going hiking in Russia. I've never been outside the city before eventhough I've been living here for 5 years! So I was pretty excited since I've always wanted to go to the outskirts but never had the opportunity until now of course! Eugene invited me and Ain. It was his first time too. But Juan, Wei Soon and Sookyee been on these kind of hiking trips numerous times. Just 2 weeks prior to this trip they went on a trip to a lake! There's a group that organize these hiking trips every Sunday.

So, we left the hostel around 8:30 am. Took the metro to Station Komsomol'skaya. We arrived Komsomol'skaya around 9:15 am and waited for others to arrive. Wei Soon and Sookyee arrive a bit later. Ain was supposed to follow us but she suddenly fell sick. Around 9:30 am, the leader made a move, so we all followed him. We exit the metro station and headed towards the Elektrichka Station Yarolavskiy Vokzal. We bought tickets and took the train. Elektrichka train is sort of like KL's Komuter but faster! ;D

The ride took about 1 ½ hour.. We got off at Putilovo station and started walking towards the forest. The forest sort of have 3 levels: The first level we had to go through thick fallen trees and sharp branches. Although the forest isn't really like the kind in Malaysia but sort of more like the forest you see Pooh and his friends lives. heheee..

The second level, we had to endure itchy and stinging bushes. Seriously! those bushes stings! I had no idea at first, I thought it was just some normal flower bushes. It looked normal enough. Then when I tried to push it away, they stinged me! damn! I felt like being bitten by an ant(kerengga) but the pain went away after a minute or two. Still, it felt pretty irritating being sting by multiple flower!

The third level is.. well, there's no forest.. Just a grass field with and a big roadway. Not even a tree to shade us from the hot blazing sun! seriously, I actually felt like I was being grilled under the sun. At this time, we were almost reaching the riverside..

Finally, after about 6 km and 2 hours of walking we reached our destination. The view was gorgeous, and we had some trees to shade us. ;D Some of the russians straight away jumped into the river to cool off. Some of the guys set up the BBQ pit(au natural and all organic). Me and Sookyee went into the water too! The water was so cold despite the weather being so hot! My feet actually went numb and cramp because it was really cold!! And I was the only one not wearing a bikini. They were all asking where's my bikini. I actually felt a bit self-concious because I didn't own a bikini. Even Sookyee was wearing one! -___-"

Later, we ate, we swim, we ate again and swim again.. The russians sunbathe. I didn't feel like I need to sunbathe to be tan.. LOL!

Around 4:30p.m, the leader decided its time to move on and head back to catch the last train to Moscow. So we started packing and clean up.

Oh, how dreadful it is to walk again into the forest! I was already tired of swimming and walking ~6km and now we have to walk another 5-6km back.. I was trying really hard to catch up. Juan was laughing looking at me wobbling here and there trying to keep balance and catch up. LOL!

Thank God, we catch the train right on time! Otherwise I really don't know what would happen.. huhu.. 10-11km hike done! Sookyee told me, this is the shortest hike they've ever participate. Usually, they hike around 20-25km! errkkk! 10km hike pon dah rasa macam nak mati! I really don't know how they do it. I would love to go to this place again. But thinking about going through the forest, the stingy bushes and 10km might change my mind. Unless of course, we could rent a car to get there.. hehee..

When we reach the city, we stopped by McD for dinner. I arrived home around 11 p.m. I did not regret going on this trip! It was so much fun. Too bad Ain couldn't follow us. Maybe within the next couple of years, I might go again. InsyaAllah. :)

On the elektrichka. Pretty excited!

Walking in the forest

The au natural BBQ pit

Resting after hiking

Cooling off in the river

Trying to avoid the stinging bushes

We finally made it to the Elektrichka Station

I got bit by a vampire!! JK! a tree brach poke me. ;(

"Sweat The Fat"

This is a promo by NIKE for Nike BodyByDance contest..I feel like this add has so much meaning in it.. People would rather go for plastic surgery or diet than to actually 'sweat the fat'.. and I'm a little embarrass to admit it, but I'm a little lazy to sweat my fat as well.. but I would never resolve to dieting, because I LOVE FOOD TOO MUCH!!! hehehehee..

anyway, enjoy the video.. hope it'll give you guys out there inspiration to work out!!!

Dreamflash 2010

I actually wanted to write this post last week, but I was so busy with my Therapy Cycle and the Case Presentation that I didn't have any time to update my blog..
Well, I passed my presentation which makes me very happy! :D

So anyway, last Sunday, 11th April, I went to Dreamflash Festival.. It's in Arbatskaya.. The news didn't spread that much.. Eugene found out by Vkontakte.ru and some of my other friends found out from Moscow Times paper.. but a lot of them still didn't know about this festival, although it's been held annually..

So we left the hostel around 12:30 p.m. board the metro from Kon'kovo, straight to metro Smolenskaya.. There were 4 of us; Me, Juan, Eugene, and Ann. but later was join with Liyana, Sveta, Hsu Yin, Alex and Tanya.. and then later Ann left us and went with another group, so its 8 of us.. ;D bB back out in the last minute because he was tired.. :( but I don't want to miss this opportunity even though I was in the middle of my Therapy Cycle.. *wink*

We arrived around 1:40 p.m. and we waited in front of McD for Eugene's friends to come..

The Festival starts at 2:30 p.m, so when we arrived, there were other people just arrived as well.. it wasn't that crowded...

When the clock strikes 2:30, suddenly crowds of people just came swarming in.. It was sort of a parade, with people in costumes and their bubble kit..and well, there's no way for you to actually go against the flow.. It was loud with everyone blowing their bubbles.. screaming and laughing... The whole Arbat Street is congested with people.. and the cars are having a hard time trying to get through.. LOL! and I actually got separated with the others.. *sigh* such a bad memory..

Nonetheless, after trying calling them several times, I got through and found them.. phew.. and we continue taking pictures, blowing bubbles, giving & getting free hugs and free kisses (of course I didn't hug any russian guys because like takot kot!.. ;P but the boys were pretty excited getting those hugs and kisses from the girls.. ;DD)

Later, we went to Udonyasan for lunch.. yum!

Well, thats basically it.. here's some pics and you can view more on Facebook! enjoy!

take a deep breath and BLOW! ;D

everyone's blowing bubbles! ♥

more bubbles!!

erkkk.. Jason! thank God he didn't bring his saw along.. ngeee.. :D

eclipse

hey there..
i am still in Kuantan. nothing much to do during the hols. though i still dont feel like going back to Moscow yet. FYI, i still have like 9 days left.. *sigh*

didnt do any raya-ing during CNY too, so no ang-pau for me.. huhuu.. sedey kan?

though, there was something interesting during that day.. SOLAR ECLIPSE!! i actually saw it with my own eyes.. the 'sabit' shaped sun.. it was very pretty, and my eyes got hurt from watching the sun too long.. i was seeing blue spots all over when i got back into the house.. eheh.. but i cant really get enough of watching the eclipse.. i didnt took any picture though because well, i dont really know how to show the 'sabit' shape.. but there were some pictures in Safraa facebook.. do check it out.. ;)

but i think, we didn't actually see the full eclipse.. bB ckp kat indonesia dpt tgk the full eclipse.. but i am just happy that i actually saw part of it..

Allah works in magnificent ways.. Allahuakbar~
