Kursus Pra-Perkahwinan di Kuantan

*Jika perlukan post ini di dalam Bahasa Melayu, sila berikan komen, saya akan cuba buat post baru dalam BM, cheers!*

I had the courtesy of attending a Pre-marital course last weekend at Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah. Translated in Malay, Pre-marital course means Kursus Pra-Perkahwinan or in short, kursus kahwin.

Every Muslim in Malaysia needs to attend this course in order to get married. If you didn't attend one or if you failed to produce a certificate that you've attended one during your "i do" day, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) would not proceed with the ceremony. In short, you won't get the permission to be married.

It's just basically a 2-day course (from 8am to 5pm) consists of listening to lectures. Some of the lectures are good, some are quite boring, but all of them are very informative. It depends on the lecturer. Anyway,I thought it was a very good reminder, since as a human we tend to forget. Most of the topics we already learned in school, but I have to admit, I've forgotten some of them.

I didn't go with bB, since he still doesn't feel like going, yet. In the end, I went with my friends. But I think it is better to go with your friends, otherwise it'll be quite boring, because you'll be separated from your boyfriend/fiance.

Okay, I'm writing this posts so that you guys will know how and where to attend one in Kuantan. Because when I was searching for it on Google, I couldn't even find one decent info on the course held in Kuantan. Most of the blog or web are about the ones held in KL. Even the JAIP site couldn't give enough information. In the end, I posted a question on FB, and it was answered by my friends.

So, if you have any desire of attending Pre-marital course in Kuantan, the first thing you have to do is
  1. Get the FORM.
How to get THE FORM? Just go to Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Kuantan. The building has a sign "Pejabat Daerah & Tanah Kuantan". Don't ask me why Islamic Department building has a State Department sign. Seems some of my friends told me that they just switched building, but I still have no idea why they didn't have the courtesy to change the sign. Seriously.

Where is Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Kuantan? It's located between Shahzan Inn and The State Mosque (Sultan Ahmad Shah Mosque), just behind the Kuantan Art Museum. You will see an orange building with the sign "Pejabat Daerah & Tanah Kuantan".

If you intend on using the Google Map or GPS, please write Pejabat Daerah & Tanah Kuantan. They didn't update their address yet either.

When you're there, remember, YOU HAVE TO COVER YOUR AURAT in order to enter the office. Once you're inside, just go to any counter and ask for the form. Sometimes they will just put the forms inside a basket. Just look for the sign "BORANG KURSUS KAHWIN"

  2. FILL IN the form
Well, this is pretty basic. I think you'd be able to fill in the form without any problem. Just remember, you will need to provide a copy of your IC.

  3. SUBMIT the form
Submit the form along with the RM 80 fee. Yup, there's a fee, and it's RM80 for one course, but there will be only one course for the rest of your life. You don't need to attend anymore course if you got divorced and want to get married again or if you intend of having more than 1 wife. One course, one certificate lasts for a lifetime.
Pretty easy right?

Once you've submitted your form, they will print a receipt for you and give you the date of the course. Please check your name properly on the receipt, because you don't want them to wrongly print your name on the certificate.

ON THE DAY OF THE COURSE

When we asked the lady at the counter where the course was held, she said  "It's here". Please make sure to call the office and ask again where the course is held, or you'll be like us, wandering around the office, wondering why the place was close and empty. In the end, we were late, and found out that the course was at The State Mosque after asking the guard.

When entering The State Mosque, just look for the sign "BILIK SEMINAR". It is held there. :)

REMEMBER, you will need to dress in modesty. Baju kurung/jubah and make sure you cover your hair. ;) If you're a guy, it doesn't matter as long as it's modest.

Okay, hope this will help you guys!

If  you have any further questions about this, you can call Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Kuantan at 09-5161154.

One step closer, I supposed? :">

Tun Mahathir visits Moscow

Tun Mahathir was actually in Moscow for some work, but Kelab Umno Moscow sent in a request for him to meet with Malaysian students who are pursuing their studies here and they got lucky when Tun said YES! ;)

Unfortunately, the embassy gave limited seats to those who want to meet the legendary Tun Mahathir. Only 300 seats from 2000 of malaysian students all over moscow. So, everyone gave in their names as quick as possible to the student bodies hoping to get seats. Alhamdulillah, I was one of the lucky ones whose name got picked to experience this once in a lifetime event. ;)

Tun gave us an inspiring speech. How we should repay the community once we become successful because it is from the community that we become who we are. There are a lot of us who went overseas and decided not to come back and work, but the way he put it, I don't remember the exact words, it just went straight to my heart why should contribute to our country, why we should work in our own country. It's all because we should contribute to our own community, the people who are the reason why we are here in the first place.

Well, enough of me blabbering. Here's some pics! enjoy! ;))

I was so starstruck at this time until one of the embassy staff had to tap me to move. lol!

Shaking hands with Tun Hasmah. ^.^

Tun Mahathir giving his speech. Photo from where I sat. Don't mind my 3.2 megapix camera.

Picture from the tv in front of me.

bB having his moment.

my moment.

another moment. even when everyone was already going off the stage. The person in the middle is the Ambassador - Dato Zainol Abidin.

Me and bB in the bus heading back to the hostel.

Some pics are from my friends in facebook. I didn't wait until Tun left though because bb suddenly had a stomach ache. >.<" oh well, seeing him is already a rare opportunity so I'm still grateful. ;)

24th

yup. It's my 24th birthday today. =)

I wasn't too psyched about today's day because 1st - I'm sick, and 2nd- exam's not over yet. I even requested bB that I don't want to celebrate it because I didn't have any mood. I told him we could celebrate after exam's over.

but being a dear darling, he ignored my request and woke me up at 12 a.m (I was drowsy with all the drugs in my body system, I fell asleep at 11 p.m) with a bunch of people in my room singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!". Siap ada guitar lagi tu! Imagine waking up to that situation. gila shocking! I quickly covered my face with my blanket. I can't imagine how I look. Must be horrible, with the runny nose, and muka sembab! horrible2.. They even recorded the moment! Have to ask Fareez for the video and see how horrible I looked. *HORROR!*

but I got up lah of course. It would be impolite to just stay in bed and I'm not that vain. I blew out the candles (they used the trick candle! As if I'm not tired enough, I have to blow the candle multiple times and it still didn't go out! the guys had to blow it out. :P)

We all ate the cake, which is superbly delicious!!! and had some funny moments. ;)

I am very happy and blessed to be living till this day. Hope to have lots more birthdays in the future. Thank you bB for the surprise birthday! I'll remember it forever. I love you lots!

p/s: I wished I wasn't sick though.

Dreamflash 2010

I actually wanted to write this post last week, but I was so busy with my Therapy Cycle and the Case Presentation that I didn't have any time to update my blog..
Well, I passed my presentation which makes me very happy! :D

So anyway, last Sunday, 11th April, I went to Dreamflash Festival.. It's in Arbatskaya.. The news didn't spread that much.. Eugene found out by Vkontakte.ru and some of my other friends found out from Moscow Times paper.. but a lot of them still didn't know about this festival, although it's been held annually..

So we left the hostel around 12:30 p.m. board the metro from Kon'kovo, straight to metro Smolenskaya.. There were 4 of us; Me, Juan, Eugene, and Ann. but later was join with Liyana, Sveta, Hsu Yin, Alex and Tanya.. and then later Ann left us and went with another group, so its 8 of us.. ;D bB back out in the last minute because he was tired.. :( but I don't want to miss this opportunity even though I was in the middle of my Therapy Cycle.. *wink*

We arrived around 1:40 p.m. and we waited in front of McD for Eugene's friends to come..

The Festival starts at 2:30 p.m, so when we arrived, there were other people just arrived as well.. it wasn't that crowded...

When the clock strikes 2:30, suddenly crowds of people just came swarming in.. It was sort of a parade, with people in costumes and their bubble kit..and well, there's no way for you to actually go against the flow.. It was loud with everyone blowing their bubbles.. screaming and laughing... The whole Arbat Street is congested with people.. and the cars are having a hard time trying to get through.. LOL! and I actually got separated with the others.. *sigh* such a bad memory..

Nonetheless, after trying calling them several times, I got through and found them.. phew.. and we continue taking pictures, blowing bubbles, giving & getting free hugs and free kisses (of course I didn't hug any russian guys because like takot kot!.. ;P but the boys were pretty excited getting those hugs and kisses from the girls.. ;DD)

Later, we went to Udonyasan for lunch.. yum!

Well, thats basically it.. here's some pics and you can view more on Facebook! enjoy!

take a deep breath and BLOW! ;D

everyone's blowing bubbles!

more bubbles!!

erkkk.. Jason! thank God he didn't bring his saw along.. ngeee.. :D

CUTE!!

Juan caught by the ghost!

Having fun blowing bubbles! adorable!

Tall people.. There were at least 10 of them walking around the street..

I couldn't resist this pic.. so passionate.. [kalau kat Malaysia da kene tangkap dgn Jab. Agama Islam dah.. huhuhu~]

cool mask! I want! I want!

people in costumes :)

They say - HUG ME! :P

So I gave them hugs! hehehe...

looky! looky! she has a tail!

The crowds on Arbat Street. Seriously, how can you not get separated?

My food! Rice with Eel, salad, miso soup and green tea.. yum!!

This the most fun weekend I have ever had! I wish to go again next year! hehehee.. and I wish we had something like this going on in Malaysia.. It is so much fun!!!
p/s: thanks Eugene for inviting us.. ;)

A single Spotlight

I've just finished watching Grey's Anatomy episode 5.. love the episode!! especially when Derek gave Meredith a Kidney-in-a-Jar.. *hearts*

I want a Kidney-in-a-Jar too..metaphorically.. I just want him to give me something that i really really want.. I just need to figure out what that THING is..

he's going to a concert next month.. some metal band's concert and i can't follow coz its 'dangerous' and i might get suffocated in a mosh-pit.. it's not my thing, i just like to follow him wherever he goes.. but i can't.. sheesh.. why do guys need so much space anyway? i know I'm being a little childish and selfish here.. I'm sorry that i don't have friends that like to go to concerts or at least the same interest as i do..

you'd think its easy to actually find friends but its not for me.. i hate going to new places.. i hate the first day attending primary school, i hate the first day attending secondary school, i hate the first day of college and the first day in Moscow.. just cause i have to find new friends..

i like going to concerts.. but never really had the chance to go.. first concert i went was the one bB brought me to - Ozzy Osbourne's concert.. and i don't even like Ozzy.. 2nd one was MUSE and that was THE BEST CONCERT EVER!!! but i can only compare 2 concerts coz i only went for 2 concerts.. the only person that i actually think i could bring along to a concert that i like in my sister Nabilla bcoz we like the same artists - but she's like 12!! and I'm 21!! it's not really a good combination, we'll probably have fun but i have to take care of her - bring her to the toilet if she wants to go - and pay for the tickets.. and it wouldn't be so much fun for me.. at least if she's 16.. *sigh* then I'd probably be too old to go to an Avril Lavigne's concert.. *cry*!

right now - what i want is to go to a concert of my most favourite artist... coming back home with 2 tickets of.. let say, Justin Timberlake's concert on my table... *SCREAM*!!!! that would be so cool!! or even 2 tickets to Bolshoi Theatre to see Swan Lake Ballet is a dream come true.. :( I've only watched 1 musical so far - Cats. Its was great but i couldn't understand them.. they were in Russian and i was just starting my russian class at that time.. hrmmm...

I know i am a little demanding.. but I WANT WHAT I WANT!! and patience is not a good friend of mine.. *sigh* i thought i had grown-up.. but i guess i haven't..

I wanted to go to Backstreet Boys Concert last summer in Moscow.. but no one i know wanted to go with me.. He asked me to go with my friends, he wanted to watch MU vs Chelsea UEFA championship finals.. they fell on the same date.. damn-it!

i like to spend my time with him, even if we were fighting.. i like his presence, it makes me happy even if i don't show it... but sometimes he need his space, which sometimes just annoys me.. he'll leave me alone for 1 year once he graduated and we wont know if we'll get the same place once we start working or not.. so what's wrong with me wanting to be with him all the time?

UEFA FINALS IN MOSCOW!

sorry, i haven't been able to update this.. i am really busy, exams coming up.. [I'm stealing some time here..] huhuh..

anyway, UEFA Cup Finals was held in Moscow on the 21st of May (which also the date of Backstreet Boys concert in Moscow) and i could go to neither of them.. because:

  1. tak cukup duit.. :(

  2. exams coming up

Mainly it's because I'M BROKE! i just paid my flight ticket so i am left with nothing.. :( i have to wait next month for my allowance.. hrmm..

ok, back to the main story.. although i didn't get to go to the real match in LUZHNIKI STADIUM, i did get to go to the fan festival.. i went on TUESDAY.. the fan fest was held from Saturday to Wednesday.. This UEFA finals match is BIG.. and i mean REALLY BIG! why? because it's between MANCHESTER UNITED AND CHELSEA! and you could just imagine..

there was so many English fans coming to Moscow to watch the game.. I usually hear Russian.. but that day, i was hearing English - which not something u experience everyday in Moscow.. huhu.. but - there weren't any hooligans roaming around Moscow..

There wasn't really like a lot of things there.. we just took a lot of pictures.. got like museums, shows, football match, merchandise booth, etc.. just like a basic carnival would look like.. huhu..

anyway, here's some pics to say it all..

*entrance to the fan festival*

*I'm in MOSCOW*

*Chelsea booth*

*Manchester United booth*

*a big version of the finale ball*

*THE CUP*

*Merchandise booth - i bought some stuffs here*

*some school kids playing football*

*Chelsea mascot*

just so you know, i am not routing for any of the clubs.. i'm neutral.. huhuh..

A few of my friends got free tickets and it was in the VIP SEATS! lucky buggers.. i have no idea how they got them but they got them.. cess..

later that day, after we're bored with the carnival, we went to the park nearby.. tulips were growing everywhere and they were gorgeous!! It's not everyday u could see flowers that much in Moscow.. It snows here from November to April.. huhu.. those flowers made my day.. :)

getting hotter!!

MASSAD heat is getting on everyone, especially the performers and the committee members.. [including me].. my body is all aching.. too much dance practice perhaps? huhu.. farizan gave us some damn tough moves.. I'm doing a Malay dance this time.. 3 songs - 7 minutes!! *pusing2*

after each song, we all would actually fall on the ground!! [except farizan of course] damn tiring!! I'm actually growing muscle doing this dance!! huhuhu..

well, i bought new shoes to go with my dress for MASSAD.. it cost RUB1990 = RM 265 [haha! i know it's ridiculous to spend such amount for a pair of shoes.. but actually it's considered to be cheap, if you're living in Moscow City] and yes.. the brand is BATA.. the dress? you'll only see it on the day.. *wink2*

everyone is really busy.. not only the performers, but the committee as well, it's very hard to get everyone in the batch to do the job.. some are not even participating.. and people who are doing the job are circling around.. [well, I'm in the committee, and i had to juggle between dance practice, attending meetings, and well, get the job done so that MASSAD won't be a disaster] FYI, my batch are organizing MASSAD this year. every year, the 2nd years are the one organizing this annual dinner.

well, not making MASSAD a disaster is probably the president's job.. huhu.. i have so many things to do and MASSAD is just 2 weeks away!! audition is this weekend..

the parcel from my mom still haven't arrived, and it's getting me very worried.. pos laju, but dah 2 weeks tak sampai2 lg.. things for MASSAD are in there, and if it doesn't arrive soon, we might have to do handmade everything!! =( i hope it'll arrive soon!!

for people who don't know what MASSAD stands for, it's MALAYSIAN STUDENTS ANNUAL DINNER. :)

*dress to kill this summer*

mind, body and soul

i am seriously going insane!! i am so damn tired!!

y? because there's just too many occasion going on and i'm performing.. my legs and my arms feels like it couldn't move anymore.. thank God no one approached me to perform during Spring Festival!! i am alrdy performing 2 performance for Malaysian Night which in on the 9th of May and for M-nite on the 26th of april.. (@.@)
not only that..irfan is making my mind so tired.. i decided not to see him tonight.. he's driving me crazy!! sasha said to me, "i dont know how you keep it up with him".. huhuhu.. the more i am patient with him, the more he's playing with my emotions.. and i must admit.. I AM NOT A PATIENT PERSON.. i think i just gave up on him.. just keeping quiet for the moment, and not pointing out any of his flaws.. well, i have flaws too.. but he's the guy.. huhuhu..

i'm sleeping more than i should..nowadays, im sleeping like 9 hours a day, and my studies.. hakhak.. don't ask, im trying to cope with performing and studies.. nasib baik there's only 1 more month to go..and then i can really, really focus!! huhuhu..

30th May will be my microbiology exams.. *sigh* naseb baik 2 papers je exam this sem.. microbiology and russian language..i hope i'll do well..

i have another dance practice in 1 hour.. i dont feel like going, but.. i dont want to disappoint anyone.. huhuhu..

don't get me wrong.. i like performing very much! its just that i think sometimes, it's just too much.. they kept calling me becoz it's so hard to find people that can dance..

[oh anna.. just hang on it for another few more month, then u can enjoy and pamper yourself in egypt.. hehehe..]

*this is my performance during last Malaysian Night, we did the evolution dance*

*it was definitely the best performance..we had the loudest applause from everyone, even the embassador gave a smile during our performance coz usually he always seem a little serious..huhu*

*note: the video isn't the full version.. only part of it, we dance to 7 songs in total.. and during sean paul's song, my earing dropped and i got lost with the steps a bit because i was searching for my earring.. was hoping no one would step on it.. and thank God, no one stepped on it..LOL~!!
